The tree represents the styles of karate we practice, the tree has strong solid roots which represents the Shotokan (our main style). Then the branches of the tree represents the club reaching out towards different styles such as the Lohan and Swan-da, also in the complete logo the branches are reaching up towards the cross swords which represents the club learning the weapons (Kobudo).

As mentioned with the tree the cross swords represent the weapons we use, not just swords but a variety of other weapons too.

The Yin yang represents balance, every action has an equal and opposite reaction. The black side (Yin) represents passive, soft and weak, whereas the white side (Yang) represents active, hard and strong. The two go together to create a harmony, one is not complete without the other. If you look closely you'll see that the Yin yang is drawn slighty rotated which represents that no one is perfect.

The name Sukona translates into english as "Sublime" which means of a higher level and Karate translates into english as "Empty Hand" or "Empty Mind".

mi~kara~deta~sabi means "as you sow so shall you reap" which basically means the more you put into something the more you will gain from it, so people who work hard at karate reach their goal (grades) and those who don't work hard don't get very far.
